10 Tests for Real Men

1. Friend test (tempted to assimilate): Your friends determine your future Proverbs 12:26, 13:20. Develop relationships before crisis hits Proverbs 27:10,17. Do you have friends to count on? Can you be counted on?
2. Gender test: The world wants you to deny your gender and identity. The Bible says we are made male and female Genesis 1:27. Paul explicitly tells us to act like men 1 Cor 16:13. Will I love and lead like Jesus. Will I accept my masculine responsibilities Ephesians 5:25-29, 1 Tim 3:8-13.
3. Sex test: Every man has a vision for their sex life. Confused sexuality.
4. Education test: World wants to brainwash you with theories and teachings contrary to the bible Daniel 1:4-5. Learn to separate what is learned from what is truth. Understanding vs agreeing, prepare children for Babylon.
5. The work test: Going to have a job you don’t like. Whatever you do, do whole heartedly unto the Lord Col 3:23. Do the best job with the work God has given you.
6. Worship test: Pleasure vs suffering (temptation: food, alcohol, drugs, sex).
7. Marriage test: Marriage is a good thing Proverbs 18:22. Did you not get the marriage you wanted. Not getting married at all. Are we bitter against God or are we trusting God.
8. Parents test: Struggle with conceiving children. Children aren’t walking with God or are disconnected relationally.
9. Political test: Against government policies and governing decisions. Good citizen and a good christian. Be a good citizen until it stops you from being a good christian.
10. Life stage test: Faithful to God in all stages of life. Avoid midlife crisis.
